Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition - Speechify

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer to help design, build, and maintain data infrastructure and data acquisition capabilities. This role is based in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei and will collaborate with the data team to enable scalable data collection, storage, and access for product and analytics.

What you’ll do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines and data infrastructure
• Collaborate with data science, analytics, and product teams to ensure reliable data access
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes, data models, and data storage solutions
• Monitor data quality, governance, and system performance; implement dashboards
• Improve data accessibility and speed for internal tooling and products

Qualifications

• Software engineering experience with data-focused projects
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing concepts
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and data tooling
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
