Speechify is a leading AI-powered reading platform that converts text into natural-sounding speech. We are growing rapidly and are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Singapore to help scale our AI model serving infrastructure.

Role: Senior Software Engineer, AI Model Serving

Based in Singapore, you will design, build, and scale AI model serving systems to support production ML workloads. You will collaborate with machine learning researchers, platform engineers, and product teams to deliver reliable, low-latency inference services.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable AI model serving microservices and APIs.
• Optimize latency, throughput, and resource utilization in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with ML researchers to deploy experimental models to production.
• Instrument monitoring, tracing, and alerting; contribute to CI/CD pipelines for ML workloads.
• Ensure observability, security best practices, and robust incident response.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with ML model serving frameworks (TensorFlow Serving, TorchServe) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience deploying services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, observability, and software security best practices.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
