Overview

Speechify is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual), iOS to join our Chicago, USA-based team. This role focuses on manual testing to ensure iOS applications deliver high-quality user experiences. You will design, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve release readiness.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute manual test plans and test cases for iOS applications on real devices and simulators.
• Identify, document, and track defects with a clear, reproducible bug report process.
• Coordinate with product managers and engineers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
• Contribute to release readiness activities and quality metrics.
• Participate in risk analysis and provide feedback to improve product quality.

Requirements

• Experience performing manual testing on iOS apps (iPhone/iPad).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
• Understanding of iOS concepts and terminology; familiarity with Swift or Xcode is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of automated testing concepts and frameworks.
• Experience with greenfield or large-scale mobile apps.
