Role Overview

As an Applied AI Engineer & Researcher, you will conduct cutting-edge research in AI, ML, NLP, and speech processing and develop production-ready models. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate research into features that improve user experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and run AI experiments to advance Speechify's capabilities.
• Implement, evaluate, and optimize ML models for speech and language tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy models to production.
• Publish findings internally and externally as appropriate.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to code reviews.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, and speech processing.
• Proficiency with Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with large language models, model deployment, and scalable ML systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
