Spacecraft Structures Responsible Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead design, analysis, and development of spacecraft structures from concept to flight.
• Perform structural and dynamic analysis (FEA, hand calcs, margins) to validate designs.
• Produce engineering drawings with required specs for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with subsystems to ensure structural integrity and integration.
• Manage fabrication/assembly of structural components, supplier coordination, and flight testing.
• Design and execute environmental, load, and flight verification campaigns.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years designing and delivering aerospace primary/secondary structures
• Proficiency in CAD and structural analysis tools
• Hands-on experience with metallic structural design, GD&T, drawings
• Ability to take structural systems from concept to flight
• Strong cross-functional communication in fast-paced environments
