Sourcing Specialist, Mechanical (Starshield)

📋 Description

• Place purchase orders and resolve blocked invoices
• Forecast demand, evaluate capacity, and manage supply signals
• Track high-risk components and supplier delivery performance
• Interpret engineering drawings and BOMs
• Create sourcing strategies for mechanical hardware (custom and COTS)
• Develop a preferred supplier network to minimize cost and lead time

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years in purchasing, procurement, or planning
• 2+ years in technical sourcing, procurement, or planning
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and machines
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and BOMs, WOs, and POs
• Strong data analysis skills using Excel, SQL, and PowerBI
• Effective written and verbal communications across levels
