Ensure work centers are ready; align min/max/reorder points with MRP demand plan.
Own material health; coordinate with production/engineering on start dates and cycle times.
Lead outsourcing and cross-functional projects; manage design change cut-ins.
Negotiate high-value contracts; define pricing, terms, scope, and IP with suppliers.
Develop commodity strategies for sheet metal, raw materials, machined parts; support NPI sourcing.

🎯 Requirements

Advanced degree + 3+ years in engineering/purchasing/SCM; or BA + 5+ years.
Technical procurement and vendor management; ability to read datasheets/drawings.
Proven leadership; strong vendor management; contract negotiation and supplier relationships.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; MS Office; SQL.
Willing to travel up to 50%; on-site at Starbase TX; extended hours as needed.
