THE ROLE
We are looking for an ambitious New York senior attorney to join our Corporate and Securities team based in London and New York as AGC. This will one of two AGC roles in New York with the rest of the team in London. The role will involve a wide range of transactional and advisory work. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently to meet competing deadlines while maintaining the utmost professionalism.
The AGC will work autonomously on the legal support to a range of corporate and financing matters, both transactional and advisory, and to provide support to the DGC and Sotheby’s General Counsel on major matters. These may be specific to the US, international or global. Whilst the work will span a range of issues and the role holder should be keen to flex across and grow into these areas, strong experience of helping structure and manage transactions is key, along with experience of personally drafting core documents.

The proposed base salary for this position ranges from $220,000-$250,000. In addition to base salary successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus, as well as a competitive benefits package. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
