Solar Arrays Engineer

📋 Description

• Define requirements and trade architectures of solar arrays.
• Select and qualify materials and vendors for solar arrays.
• Develop and qualify welding, adhesion, lamination processes.
• Test and qualify designs to AIAA S112 standards.
• Interface with systems engineering, power electronics, structures, and thermal teams.
• Troubleshoot issues across the product lifecycle from design through testing.

🎯 Requirements

• BS in mechanical, aerospace, or materials engineering.
• Experience with design, manufacture and verification of photovoltaics or similar composites.
• Experience in space industry developing, building and testing solar arrays.
• Experience with AIAA S111/S112 guidelines.
• Design work in NX and Teamcenter.
• Analysis work in Ansys, FeMap/Nastran, Abaqus, Thermal Desktop.
