Software Engineering Manager - Commerce (100% Remote)

📋 Description

• Hire, mentor, and coach a multidisciplinary squad; empower engineers.
• Partner with product to translate partner needs into technical roadmaps; ship features; manage B2B integrations and public APIs.
• Stay deeply technical; lead architecture reviews; unblock debugging; keep stack scalable and resilient.
• Own run of team services; establish on-call rotations; reduce tech debt; meet enterprise SLAs.
• Be primary technical contact for external partners; explain constraints to non-technical stakeholders; NA travel may be required.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ yrs leading engineering teams; 7+ yrs software dev; JVM/Scala or React ideal.
• Comfortable with ambiguity; build MVP without sacrificing long-term integrity.
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, robust APIs for enterprise use.
• Ship-and-iterate mindset; know what to perfect Day 1 vs Day 30.
• Proven ability to grow juniors into seniors and leads/architects.
