Design, build, and optimize Bun/Claude Code runtime internals, I/O, memory, and agent loop
Reduce memory usage, latency, and startup time across Claude Code and Bun
Profile and fix performance across kernel interfaces to the JS engine
Collaborate with researchers and product engineers to deliver fast, reliable dev experience
Contribute to Bun runtime/toolkit underpinning Claude Code, Agent SDK, Cowork
Stay ahead of runtimes, compilers, and AI tooling; experiment and measure ideas

🎯 Requirements

Strong background in C and/or C++ and Rust (Zig also welcome)
Deep systems programming: syscalls, Linux internals, I/O, memory management
Experience with language runtimes, VMs, or JS engines (JavaScriptCore/SpiderMonkey)
5+ years of work experience
