Software Engineer (Starshield)

📋 Description

• Create highly reliable software systems that control hundreds of satellites in low earth orbit
• Leverage software design to improve satellite constellation performance, security, and availability for users
• See your software through from start to finish: from core needs to prototyping, development, testing, and on-orbit rollout
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design next-gen satellite capabilities, from sensors to space-based cloud compute

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; or 2+ years of software development experience in lieu of a degree
• Development experience in C, C++, or Python or full stack software development
• Experience with Linux-based C/C++ software on ARM, PowerPC, or x86
• Strong knowledge of computer architecture and networks; debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance
• Ability to work independently and in a team; proactive communication and initiative; willing to work extended hours when needed
