Software Engineer, RL Data

📋 Description

• Own significant parts of our RL Data stack end-to-end.
• Build data pipelines; read transcripts; iterate prompts, evals, graders.
• Develop QA frameworks to catch reward hacking and ensure environment quality.
• Build interfaces that speed data collection for contributors.
• Harden execution environments for training scale.
• Collaborate with teams/vendors to design pipelines and ship improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong software engineering; Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience building backend systems or infrastructure.
• Effective use of AI tools in day-to-day work.
• Willing to own problems end-to-end, beyond coding.
• Proactive communication; able to own and escalate workstreams.
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast-changing contexts.
