Design and build scalable, reliable distributed systems central to Adyen.
Collaborate with team, PMs, and other eng teams across Uplift and Payments.
Take end-to-end ownership from design to deployment and monitoring.
Implement monitoring, define SLOs, and create effective alerting.
Build core tokenization features powering one-click checkouts and subscriptions.
Ensure health of services with reliability practices.

🎯 Requirements

Strong Java foundation; web services, REST APIs, streaming data.
Proficient with SQL/PostgreSQL and relational DBs.
Experience building scalable, reliable distributed systems.
Focus on operational excellence; monitoring, SLOs, resilience.
Self-driven with ownership and autonomy.
Bonus: PostgreSQL expertise; payment flows; reliability patterns.
