- Own features end-to-end for core authN/Z like login, MFA, SSO, SCIM, sessions, and RBAC.
- Move authentication/authorization paths from monolith to microservices (token verification, API keys, internal service auth behind Kong/IdP).
- Build and maintain shared SDKs and contracts for IAM services (OAuth, machine auth, org-scoped authZ).
- Collaborate with Organizations & Accounts to support org-scoped identity and multi-account SSO.
- Partner with Platform Integrity, Security, and Compliance on account protection patterns (MFA, recovery, device risk).
- Improve reliability and performance of IAM services via metrics, alerts, on-call rotations, and incident reviews.
🎯 Requirements
- 2-5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript/JavaScript; backend/service-oriented systems.
- Experience building or operating web services/APIs backed by relational DBs and/or caches (MySQL, Postgres, Redis).
- Familiarity with authentication or authorization concepts (sessions, tokens, OAuth, SSO, MFA, RBAC) and interest in deeper learning.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows (code review, testing, deployments, on-call).
