Software Engineer, Engineering Platform

📋 Description

• Build systems to speed 300 engineers: merges, dev deploys, CI/CD, tooling
• Lead incidents end-to-end: diagnose root cause, fix, postmortem, prevent recurrence
• Design golden paths for services (API, migrations, Kafka, Temporal, secrets) to speed infra
• Own the dev tooling surface: Devportal, Graphite, Buildkite, Inspect, Datadog
• Treat the SDLC as a factory: measure PR throughput, CI/CD time, defects; fix bottlenecks
• Turn recurring friction into one-time fixes
• Build agent-friendly infrastructure for AI coding agents
• Build AI-native reliability tooling: on-call automation, review agents, autonomous testing
• Think system-level about tech debt: flag cleanup, dead code deletion, orchestration

🎯 Requirements

• You think in systems: understand pools, Redis cache warmup, and Cloudflare under load
• Built and operated CI/CD infra, developer tooling, or platform systems at scale
• Diagnose prod infra failures: pools, serialization, cache misses, timeouts
• Strong opinions on software architecture; know when to ship 80/20 vs design it right
• You use AI as a force multiplier for coding, testing, and code review
• You care about prod reliability and the experience of other engineers
• Experience with Python, Temporal, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, Buildkite, LaunchDarkly, Datadog, AWS
