Software Engineer, Discovery (Feed)

📋 Description

• Ship product features to deliver high-quality Discovery experiences for users
• Build and maintain a scalable, low-latency feed experience
• Build services/infrastructure for efficient exploration systems to grow small sellers
• Lead a workstream of multiple software engineers as the owner of success
• Partner across ML, platform, and product teams to use models for discovery
• Define and advance our approach to scalable recommendation systems

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or related field
• Experience solving consumer-scale data problems
• Lead initiatives, mentor others, and communicate with leadership
• Experience in discovery-related fields (e.g. Recommendations, Content Understanding, Search)
• Expert at designing and building scalable, maintainable backend systems
