Sign.com is a beautifully simple e-signature tool for small teams. Our mission is to make signing and managing documents effortless, elegant, and accessible to everyone. We’re now entering the next phase of our journey - exploring new product directions to bring even more value to our users while keeping the simplicity and beauty that define us. 2026 will be all about experimentation and growth - testing bold ideas, learning fast, and evolving the product.
We’re looking for a hands-on Product Designer with co-founder ambitions - a strong product thinker who places the user at the center of every decision and thrives in an environment where product, data, and design intersect.
This is a 12-month temporary role with a high likelihood of evolving into a full-time leadership role within the company and broader product group. You’ll have the chance to shape both the future of Sign.com and other products across our ecosystem.
You’ll join a tight, collaborative core team of 6 people: GM, Marketing expert and Engineering team of 3. You’ll be the sole designer dedicated to Sign.com, but you’ll have support and mentorship from our group’s UX guild, giving you access to feedback, sparring, and shared knowledge from experienced peers.
Craft visually refined, high-quality designs that elevate the product experience through strong visual design, design craft, and great attention to detail.
Own the end-to-end product design process - from discovery and research to prototyping, testing, and final design.
Lead user research to uncover insights, challenge assumptions, and strengthen our understanding of the customer journey.
Collaborate closely with product, growth, and engineering to define strategy and ensure exceptional user experiences.
Be data-driven - analyze product metrics, experiment outcomes, and behavioral data to guide decision-making.
Act as a sparring partner for other leaders, bringing a product-thinking mindset to conversations about growth, technology, and strategy.
5+ years of experience as a Product Designer, Design Lead, or similar role in SaaS, B2B, or product-driven environments, ideally with startup or early-stage company experience where you've worn multiple hats.
Hands-on with modern design tools (Figma, prototyping tools, research tools like Dscout, Dovetail etc.).
User-obsessed - passionate about research, testing, and designing from genuine customer insight.
A strategic product thinker with strong ownership and entrepreneurial drive.
Data-informed and analytical, comfortable working with metrics, experiments, and hypotheses.
Fast experimentation mindset - you're comfortable running rapid design iterations, A/B testing, and learning from failures. You move quickly without sacrificing thoughtfulness.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills - able to challenge, inspire, and align cross-functional partners.
Intellectually curious - you dive deep into topics, ask tough questions, and don't settle for surface-level answers. You're a self-starter who identifies problems without waiting to be told.
Comfortable working remotely with occasional travel to Zurich or in a hybrid setup in Zurich.
Cross-functional leadership experience: You've led or influenced product decisions across multiple teams (engineering, marketing, growth) and know how to align stakeholders with different priorities.
Design system thinking: Experience building or scaling design systems, documentation, or design patterns across multiple products or teams.
Mentorship and design leadership: You've mentored junior designers or contributed to building design culture within a team or organization.
Influence without direct authority: You're skilled at driving decisions and inspiring action through strong communication and product thinking, even when you don't have formal authority.
Here, every task, every challenge is an opportunity to innovate and make a genuine impact. We're a driven team - pragmatic, goal-focused, and always eager to solve the next big problem. This isn’t a place for mere management or grand visions detached from reality; it’s a ground for hands-on champions ready to roll up their sleeves. If you're someone who's willing to dive deep into the action, someone who's more about the journey than just the title, Sign.com is your destination.
