Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (Remote)

Job Description

Skedda is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our remote-first engineering team. In this role, you’ll design, build, and maintain features across the full technology stack to power our space booking platform used by venues and organizations worldwide. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and operations to ship high-quality software that makes scheduling simple and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, maintainable features across frontend and backend.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Own code quality, testing, and documentation; participate in code reviews and CI/CD processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions and system design.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and security of the platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks and backend languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Ruby, Python, or similar).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), API design (REST/gRPC), and cloud/container technologies (e.g., AWS, Docker).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
• Proven track record building scalable web applications and mentoring engineers.
