We are excited to welcome a highly-driven events marketer to a growing team to lead both Skedda’s virtual and field events strategy and execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events, including conferences, trade shows, webinars, and road shows. The Events Manager will play a crucial role in promoting the Skedda brand, engaging with clients and prospects, and driving business growth. Reporting to the SVP & Head of Marketing, this role offers growth potential for a player-coach marketer with the opportunity to lead cross-functional projects and become a key contributor in defining the future of work!

Your Day-to-Day

Develop and implement a comprehensive event strategy aligned with company goals and marketing objectives; manage event plans, timelines, and budgets

  • Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, transportation, accommodations
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote events, including email campaigns, social media, and online advertising
  • Set clear event goals, metrics, and KPIs to measure success
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment; work closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, product) to ensure event objectives are met
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, partners, and stakeholders
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure high quality service delivery
  • Oversee on-site event execution, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues that arise
  • Coordinate with staff, volunteers, and vendors to ensure a seamless experience for attendees
  • Prepare detailed reports on event outcomes, including attendance, revenue, and attendee feedback; identify and recommend improvements based on outcomes
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in event management and marketing
  • Introduce innovative event formats, technologies, and approaches to enhance attendee experiences

Who You Are

  • 4-6 years in events management, preferably within the B2B software or tech industry
  • Proven track record of successfully managing small- and large-scale events
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to quickly learn a variety of marketing technologies and virtual event platforms, including CRM systems and marketing automation tools
  • Ability to operate independently and manage ambiguity in a fast-moving environment
