Web Developer - Long Term Contract

About the Role: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced, Frontend Software Engineer to join our software development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that meet the needs of our growing business. This is a long-term contract position to help grow our development team in Lima, Peru which will work directly with our Agile US development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in frontend software development as well as experience with cloud technologies.

Day to Day:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Next.js.
• Work within an Agile development team to estimate, implement, deploy sprint tasks created to implement the next generation of our core software product.
• Consume RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services to enhance application functionality.
• Utilize AWS cloud services for application deployment and management, specifically Elastic Containers (ECS), Lambdas, API Gateways, and Code Pipelines.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects in a timely manner. 

What you bring to the table:

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on frontend javascript development.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as React, Next.js, Node, and C#
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members both in Lima and in the US.
• Must live in Lima, Peru and be able to come into our Lima office to work. After establishing a proven history of delivering high quality code, hybrid arrangements will be considered.
