• Lead with vision: Shape technical roadmaps, explore new problem spaces, and set direction for initiatives that span across teams.

• Reduce chaos: Design solutions that simplify, scale, and improve long-term maintainability.
• Drive impact: Identify what matters most for Showpad’s future—whether it’s reducing infrastructure costs, building resilient systems, or unlocking new product capabilities.
• Collaborate broadly: Partner with leaders across engineering, product, and the wider AMPED organization to align strategy and execution.
• Champion quality: Advocate for resilience, performance, and security, ensuring we always raise the technical bar.

Are you our next Staff Engineer?

Must haves

• 8+ years of experience solving complex technical challenges (we know expertise doesn’t always fit neatly in a timeline—what matters is impact).
• Proven track record in technical leadership, architecture, and strategy.
• Deep proficiency in your technical domain (e.g. cloud, data, distributed systems, or application architecture).
• Proven track record for mentorship, clear communication, and long-term thinking.
• Ability to see both the big picture and the fine detail, knowing when to zoom out to strategy and when to dive deep into technical issues.
• Pragmatism: you make deliberate decisions, balancing speed and sustainability.
