Overview
Showpad is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in Bucharest to help build scalable backend services for the Showpad platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for the Showpad platform.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and other engineering teams to define robust APIs and data models.
- Improve system reliability, performance, security, and observability.
- Participate in architecture decisions and code reviews; mentor junior engineers.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Strong experience with design of scalable services, APIs, and databases.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language and ecosystem; familiarity with distributed systems is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerized deployments is a plus.
