Engineering Manager

Overview

Engineering Manager at Showpad in Ghent leads a high-performing software engineering team to deliver Showpad's SaaS platform. You will coach engineers, define technical strategy, collaborate with Product, Design, and other stakeholders, and drive delivery with a focus on quality, scalability and customer value. This role blends people leadership with hands-on technical excellence and requires strong communication across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the engineering team, manage performance, and recruit top talent.
• Define technical strategy, architecture, and code quality standards.
• Drive delivery using Agile methodologies, plan milestones, and ensure on-time product delivery.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Customer Success, and Security teams.
• Mentor engineers, conduct performance reviews, and promote professional growth.
• Improve engineering practices, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and observability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience or equivalent senior/lead track.
• Strong background in building scalable SaaS platforms and cloud-native services.
• Proven ability to mentor, hire, and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working with product and design partners.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
