Backend Engineer at Showpad

Join Showpad in Bucharest as a Backend Engineer and help build scalable backend services that power our platform. You will design and implement robust APIs, optimize performance, and collaborate with product, data, and frontend teams to deliver value to customers.

What you'll do

Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs that scale.
Collaborate with product, frontend, and data teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality features.
Write clean, well-tested code with good documentation and monitoring.
Participate in system design, performance tuning, and security best practices.
Contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

What we're looking for

3+ years of backend development experience.
Proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Java, or Node.js).
Experience building RESTful APIs and working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
Experience with containers (Docker) and CI/CD tooling.
Strong problem-solving skills and collaboration abilities.
