About the role:
We’re looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our engineering team at Shift. You’ll help develop scalable software, contribute to architecture discussions and work closely with other engineers and stakeholders in a supportive, agile environment.
What you’ll do:
Build and maintain reliable software applications using C# (.NET) and JavaScript/TypeScript (ReactJS)
Participate in agile sprint planning, estimation, and delivery
Contribute to software design decisions and work closely with senior engineers on system architecture
Collaborate with product and design teams to implement well-scoped, business-aligned features
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
Help monitor performance and ensure the team is meeting SLOs
Stay engaged with modern development practices and technologies
What you’ll bring:
3–5 years of professional software development experience
Proficiency with C# (.NET) and JavaScript/TypeScript (ReactJS)
Experience working with RESTful APIs and understanding of event-driven systems
Exposure to cloud platforms
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
Solid grasp of agile software development (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
Strong commitment to code quality, testing and reliable delivery
Good collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
A mindset focused on growth, curiosity and problem-solving
