About the role:
We’re looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our engineering team at Shift. You’ll help develop scalable software, contribute to architecture discussions and work closely with other engineers and stakeholders in a supportive, agile environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and maintain reliable software applications using C# (.NET) and JavaScript/TypeScript (ReactJS)

  • Participate in agile sprint planning, estimation, and delivery

  • Contribute to software design decisions and work closely with senior engineers on system architecture

  • Collaborate with product and design teams to implement well-scoped, business-aligned features

  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code

  • Help monitor performance and ensure the team is meeting SLOs

  • Stay engaged with modern development practices and technologies

What you’ll bring:

  • 3–5 years of professional software development experience

  • Proficiency with C# (.NET) and JavaScript/TypeScript (ReactJS)

  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and understanding of event-driven systems

  • Exposure to cloud platforms

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices

  • Solid grasp of agile software development (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)

  • Strong commitment to code quality, testing and reliable delivery

  • Good collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team

  • A mindset focused on growth, curiosity and problem-solving
