About the role:
We’re looking for a Delivery Lead to manage a team of Product Owners and ensure the successful delivery of key technology initiatives at Shift. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you’ll play a critical role in aligning delivery with business objectives, driving prioritisation and managing dependencies across multiple teams. Your leadership will help maintain clear communication, efficient planning and continuous improvement in our delivery practices.
What you’ll do:
Lead and mentor a team of Product Owners, fostering accountability and clear delivery ownership.
Drive quarterly planning, prioritisation and lookback sessions to keep initiatives aligned with company goals.
Manage cross-team dependencies and risks to minimise delivery roadblocks.
Provide transparent delivery reporting and insights to stakeholders and leadership teams.
Collaborate closely with product, engineering and business units to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
Support capability development in Agile, project and change management practices within the team.
Contribute to refining delivery frameworks and tools to improve consistency and velocity.
Partner with senior leadership to ensure delivery roadmaps reflect strategic priorities.
What you’ll bring:
Proven experience in technical project or delivery management within a technology-driven environment.
Demonstrated success delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies (Scrum, DevOps, scaled Agile).
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
A strategic mindset balanced with the ability to stay hands-on when needed.
Experience managing multiple delivery streams in fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environments.
Skilled in incremental delivery of value and continuous improvement.
Proven ability to manage dependencies, prioritise effectively, and mitigate risks.
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience.
