- Define end-to-end sheet metal processes for aerospace parts.
- Develop and communicate shop capabilities, including work instructions and control plans.
- Own schedule, capacity, and demand planning for the sheet metal shop.
- Support technicians on the floor; troubleshoot issues and resolve non-conformances.
- Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing to integrate DFM early.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain for raw material inventory and procurement.
π― Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years in aerospace manufacturing, process development, or test engineering.
- Familiarity with aerospace sheet metal properties (aluminum, stainless steel, titanium).
- Working knowledge of forming, cutting, joining processes and their controls.
- Experience with DFM/DFA, SPC, or Lean manufacturing.
- PLM/ERP/MES familiarity and AS9100/ISO 9001.
