- Support weld shop development for full-scale welded assemblies
- Develop, optimize, and qualify weld processes across laser, TIG, resistance, GMAW, plasma
- Collaborate with design, tooling, automation, and manufacturing to improve weld designs
- Manage welding qualification test campaigns; interpret mechanical testing and NDE results
- Assist manufacturing engineers and welders with proper techniques in a fast-paced environment
- Scope out new welding technologies to improve rate, quality, and efficiency
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Hands-on fabrication, manufacturing, or testing experience with welded assemblies
- Master’s degree in welding engineering or related program
- Hands-on welding experience with stainless steel, nickel-based, titanium, copper, and aluminum alloys
- Experience with brazing, joining, and metallographic interpretation
- Fundamental understanding of welding processes: laser beam, plasma arc, GTAW, and GMAW
