Senior Visual Systems Designer

📋 Description

• Design and maintain Mural’s visual system: icons, stickers, color palettes, typography, spacing.
• Create cohesive icon and illustration system for clarity and accessibility.
• Define visual patterns and guidelines to help designers build consistent interfaces.
• Partner with design systems leads and frontend engineers for accurate implementation.
• Audit and refine product surfaces to improve visual consistency.
• Design tokens, assets, and specifications to support theming and internationalization.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in visual design, product design, or design systems with strong craft.
• Deep expertise in icon design and cohesive icon sets across products.
• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
• Experience designing and maintaining visual systems used by multiple teams.
• Ability to think systemically about visual decisions and future use.
• Experience collaborating with engineers and other designers; clear communication.
