Senior Video RAG Research Scientist

📋 Description

• Collaborate with scientists, engineers & PMs to build proof-of-concepts for Axon.
• Lead end-to-end AI research on universal multimodal search with video understanding.
• Advance CV/ML and gen-AI for multimodal data: scene understanding, action recog.
• Design privacy-preserving, efficient, scalable visual-data models for inference and analysis.
• Develop CVML performance metrics and validate models in real-world settings.
• Stay current with CVML research and translate findings into Axon products.

🎯 Requirements

• PhD with 3+ years in multimodal ML, video understanding, IR, or LLMs.
• Proven applied research impact in multimodal learning, retrieval, or RAG architectures.
• Experience owning the ML lifecycle from problem framing to deployment in production.
• Experience with large-scale multimodal RAG: embeddings, vector search, distributed training.
• Strong video analysis/temporal modeling and core CV fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; works independently and in teams.
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch/TensorFlow/Keras.
• Strong communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
