Senior Utility Electrical Engineer

📋 Description

• Evaluate DER sites, write policy, and guide integration with the utility system.
• Collaborate with Interconnection, Policy, and Project teams; lead interconnection efforts.
• Develop understanding of New Leaf Energy's design philosophy and standards.
• Attend field design meetings; perform power systems modeling and grounding studies.
• Organize external consultants to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in engineering and technical policy, renewable energy design, and interconnection tariffs.
• BS in Electrical Engineering; MS preferred.
• PE license preferred.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• DER interconnection standards: IEEE 1547-2018, 1547.1-2020, 1453-2015.
• Experience with SKM, Aspen, PSSe power-system modeling.
• Utility system planning experience.
• Experience leading advocacy for DER interconnection policy.
