Senior Systems Engineer - Safety Methodologies

📋 Description

• Scale and manage safety framework methods; define automated assessment workflows.
• Develop and monitor metrics to evaluate system performance against safety targets.
• Optimize test coverage in Waabi's high-fidelity simulator for safety-critical scenarios.
• Define and iterate human performance benchmarks for robust safety assessments.
• Identify safety gaps; ensure traceability of requirements to validation artifacts.
• Maintain documentation of safety artifacts and readiness decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• Undergrad required; Masters or PhD in engineering preferred.
• 5+ years in automotive/robotics or related industry.
• Experience contributing to safety case for autonomous vehicles.
• Experience with simulation and real-world testing for readiness decisions.
• Knowledge of STPA, SOTIF (ISO 21448), ISO/SAE PAS 22736, and UL 4600.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; strong math and physics.
