- Own operations on our 2 large 3-axis mills (20’x8’) and VTL (20’ diameter); improve high-volume work.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, reliability; work with internal production teams and vendors.
- Create work instructions, specs, and best practices; standardize processes across manufacturing.
- Help establish new machining work centers; tooling and process definition for Terran R parts.
- Support shop floor with live issue resolution and upstream feedback for future tech.
- Provide DFM feedback to structures teams during development and builds.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, aero/mechanical engineering; 5+ yrs exp
- 3D & 2D design/drafting per ASME Y14.5M; NX preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to interface with eng/manufacturing and improve manufacturability
- Direct experience with CNC milling and turning across multiple materials
- Understanding of machine programming (G-code) and setup
- Strong fundamentals in statics, mechanics of materials, process improvement
