Senior Strategic Risk Advisor, Security Strategy & Influence

📋 Description

• Advise leadership on strategic security risks linking tech to policy and business.
• Produce strategic analysis and scenario planning for exec briefs and priorities.
• Monitor external events, policy shifts, geopolitics, and regulatory changes affecting OpenAI's security.
• Provide scenario-planning input for high-consequence questions (model deployment and expansion).
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with policymakers, researchers, think tanks, and experts.
• Help develop external positions and materials for government engagements and conferences.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years advising executives, boards, governments, or national security leaders on cyber risk.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity, state-linked threats, insider risk, and strategic risk management.
• Experience translating complex technical ideas for non-technical senior decision makers.
• Strong external network across national security, cyber, policy, technology, and academia.
• Exceptional written and oral communication; ability to produce clear, decision-oriented analysis under pressure.
• Technical security qualifications or hands-on cyber background.
• U.S. or U.K. Government Security Clearance, or willingness to obtain one.
