  • Own and evolve architecture for Integrated Benefits platform to be scalable and reliable.
  • Drive architectural decisions and tradeoffs across your domain.
  • Contribute to the technical roadmap for your area, aligning with Benefits engineering priorities.
  • Design and build shared platform capabilities for vLiDi products and broker integrations.
  • Lead the technical approach to complex problems, partnering with product/design to define end states.
  • Identify cross-team dependencies and influence architectural patterns and standards.
  • Mentor engineers through design reviews and architectural guidance.
  • Apply AI tools to accelerate development and improve code quality.
  • Contribute to shared tooling and standards enabling AI-driven workflows across teams.

🎯 Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience building and supporting production systems.
  • Significant backend design experience, including Ruby on Rails.
  • Own architectural decisions within a product domain and influence direction across teams.
  • Experience building or contributing to platform capabilities or shared systems.
  • Strong system design, data modeling, and interconnected production systems.
  • Experience applying AI tools in production engineering workflows.
