Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer

📋 Description

• Build and evaluate frontier and fine-tuned ML models for quality, latency, and cost.
• Partner with product, data science, and engineering to define launch criteria.
• Analyze production issues, identify root causes, drive reliability improvements.
• Build visibility into model performance via metrics, monitoring, and reporting.
• Role based in Bellevue, WA or Menlo Park, CA with in-person 3 days/week.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience building production ML models and systems; LLMs/Transformers a plus.
• Experience measuring ML quality with evaluation frameworks, datasets, scorecards.
• Proven ability to analyze production issues and lead cross-team improvements.
• Comfortable working with engineers, data scientists, and product partners.
• Experience with AI evaluation/observability tools (nice to have).
