Senior Software Engineering Manager, Core Cloud Compute

📋 Description

• Lead the team owning Rescale's core cloud orchestration engine.
• Foster AI-assisted development: code agents, AI reviews, automation.
• Scale the job orchestration engine across multiple clouds.
• Maintain reliability: incident response, SLO discipline, reduce toil.
• Align with Engineering, Product, Design and customer teams.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years managing software teams of 3–10, incl. senior and staff ICs.
• IC senior level with depth in scalable distributed systems.
• Hands-on with AI tools in the SDLC and sustainable AI adoption.
• Production experience with AWS or Azure at scale; Kubernetes (EKS/AKS).
• Led delivery of at least one multi-quarter architectural change with impact.
• Experience with a SaaS backend, on-call ownership, and SLO discipline.
