Senior Software Engineer, Windows/Desktop Applications - Penang, Malaysia

📋 Description

• Lead design and development of Windows desktop apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and C++ when needed.
• Define and enforce Windows desktop best practices: architecture, performance, memory, and maintainability.
• Lead accessibility: integrate UIA APIs; ensure controls, focus, keyboard nav, and screen readers.
• Collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and stakeholders on feature planning and UI/UX roadmap.
• Own full feature lifecycle from conception to release and maintenance; ensure quality and reliability.
• Identify and resolve bugs, bottlenecks, leaks, and rendering issues; propose architectural solutions.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in Windows desktop apps using Windows App SDK/WinUI, C#, XAML; native C++/Win32/WinRT/COM experience a plus.
• Deep understanding of Windows app architecture and interop between .NET and native code.
• Proven track record shipping reliable, high-performance desktop apps.
• Strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs (UIA) and inclusive software.
• Strong fundamentals in OOP, design patterns, data structures, and multithreading/async.
• Experience leading design, mentoring engineers, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
• Strong communication; articulate tradeoffs, collaborate cross-functionally, drive consensus.
• User-centric mindset; build polished, intuitive, accessible experiences.
