Senior Software Engineer, Windows/Desktop Applications - Lille, France

📋 Description

• Lead design and development of Windows desktop apps with WinUI, C#, and XAML.
• Define and enforce best practices for Windows desktop architecture, performance, and maintainability.
• Drive accessibility with UI Automation; focus, keyboard nav, and screen reader support.
• Collaborate with designers, UX researchers, and QA to shape Windows features and UI/UX.
• Own full feature lifecycle from concept to release and maintenance.
• Identify and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, and compatibility issues.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in Windows desktop apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML; native Windows (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM) a plus.
• Deep understanding of Windows app architecture and .NET/native interop.
• Proven track record shipping production desktop apps focusing on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs (UI Automation) and inclusive software.
• Strong fundamentals in OOP, design patterns, data structures, and multi-threading.
• Experience leading design, mentoring, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
