Senior Software Engineer, Windows/Desktop Applications

📋 Description

• Lead design and development of Windows desktop apps with Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML.
• Define and enforce Windows desktop best practices: architecture, performance, memory, responsive UI, and compatibility.
• Drive accessibility efforts: integrate UI Automation and other accessibility APIs, ensure focus, keyboard navigation, and screen readers.
• Collaborate with designers, UX researchers, QA, and stakeholders to shape features and long-term roadmap for Windows.
• Own end-to-end feature lifecycle from conception to release; ensure quality and reliability across releases.
• Identify and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and compatibility issues.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years Windows desktop dev with Windows App SDK/WinUI, C#, XAML; native C++ (Win32/WinRT/COM) helpful.
• Deep understanding of Windows app architecture and interop between .NET and native code.
• Proven track record shipping production-grade desktop apps focused on reliability and performance.
• Strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs (UI Automation) and inclusive software.
• Strong fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multithreading/async.
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring engineers, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
• Strong communication; articulate tradeoffs, collaborate cross-functionally, drive consensus.
• User-centric mindset delivering polished, intuitive, accessible experiences.
