Senior Software Engineer, Windows/Desktop Applications

📋 Description

• Lead design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and C++ when needed.
• Define and enforce best-practices for Windows desktop development: architecture, performance, memory, responsive UI, cross-version compatibility (Win10/11+).
• Drive accessibility efforts: UI Automation and other accessibility frameworks, focus management, keyboard navigation, screen readers, and inclusive UI.
• Collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and stakeholders to shape feature planning and long-term roadmap for the Windows platform.
• Take ownership of full lifecycle of features: conception, design, implementation, testing, release, maintenance.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues, and propose robust solutions.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in Windows desktop app development using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML; and ideally native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).
• Deep understanding of Windows app architecture, including interop between .NET and native code.
• Proven track record shipping production Windows desktop apps with reliability, performance.
• Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows (UI Automation or similar) and inclusive software.
• Excellent software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading.
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring engineers, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
