Senior Software Engineer, Windows/Desktop Applications

📋 Description

• Lead design and development of Windows desktop apps with Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML.
• Define best practices for architecture, performance, memory, and cross-version compatibility.
• Drive accessibility with UI Automation; ensure focus, keyboard nav, and screen readers.
• Collaborate with designers, UX researchers, QA, and stakeholders on feature planning.
• Own full lifecycle of features from conception to release and maintenance.
• Identify and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and compatibility issues.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years Windows desktop development with Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML; C++ preferred.
• Deep understanding of Windows app architecture, including interop between .NET and native code.
• Proven track record shipping reliable, high-performance desktop apps.
• Strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs (UI Automation) and accessible software.
• Strong fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, memory management, and multithreading.
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring engineers, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to drive consensus.
• User-centric mindset focused on polished, accessible UX.
