Senior Software Engineer, Windows/Desktop Applications

📋 Description

• Lead Windows desktop app design and development (Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, C++).
• Set and enforce Windows desktop best practices: architecture, performance, memory, UI responsiveness.
• Drive accessibility: UI Automation, focus, keyboard navigation, screen readers.
• Collaborate with design, UX, QA to shape features and Windows roadmap.
• Own feature lifecycle from conception to release and maintenance; ensure quality.
• Diagnose and fix bugs, perf bottlenecks, memory leaks; propose robust fixes.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in Windows desktop app dev with Windows App SDK/WinUI, C#, XAML; C++ optional.
• Deep Windows app architecture knowledge, incl. .NET/native interop.
• Proven track record delivering reliable, high-performance desktop apps.
• Experience with Windows accessibility APIs (UI Automation) for inclusive software.
• Solid fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, memory, threading/async.
• Experience leading design, mentoring, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
• Strong communication; articulate tradeoffs and drive cross-functional consensus.
• User-centric mindset: build polished, accessible experiences for end users.
