Senior Software Engineer, Windows/Desktop Applications

📋 Description

• Lead Windows desktop app design and development with Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML.
• Define Windows desktop best practices: architecture, performance, memory, UI responsiveness.
• Drive accessibility: UI Automation support, focus management, keyboard navigation, screen readers.
• Collaborate with design, UX researchers, QA, and stakeholders to shape feature planning and long-term Windows roadmap.
• Own full feature lifecycle from conception to release and maintenance.
• Identify and fix complex bugs, bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering or compatibility issues.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years Windows desktop dev using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML; plus C++/Win32/WinRT/COM.
• Deep understanding of Windows app architecture; interop between .NET and native code.
• Proven track record shipping production desktop apps; reliability, performance, maintainability.
• Strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs (UI Automation) and inclusive software.
• Strong fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multithreading/async.
• Experience leading design, mentoring, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
