📋 Description

  • Lead design, architecture, and development of Windows desktop apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and optionally C++.
  • Define/enforce best practices for Windows desktop dev: architecture, performance, memory, responsive UI, cross-version Windows.
  • Lead accessibility: ensure UI automation and screen reader support for users with disabilities.
  • Collaborate with product/design/QA to shape features and long-term Windows roadmap.
  • Own full feature lifecycle from concept to release and maintenance.
  • Diagnose and fix complex bugs, perf issues, memory leaks, rendering/compat issues.

🎯 Requirements

  • Required: 3+ yrs Windows desktop dev with Windows App SDK/WinUI, C#, XAML; plus native Windows experience (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).
  • Deep understanding of Windows app architecture and .NET-native interop.
  • Proven track record delivering production-quality desktop apps with reliability and performance.
  • Strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs (UI Automation).
  • Strong fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading.
  • Experience leading design, mentoring, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and consensus-building.
  • User-centric mindset for polished, accessible UX.
  • Preferred: UI test automation (unit/integration/UI tests) and testing frameworks.
  • Preferred: performance optimization for desktop apps (memory, startup, rendering, DPI, responsiveness).
  • Preferred: localization/globalization, RTL UI, internationalization, accessibility across regions.
  • Preferred: telemetry/analytics/crash reporting/logging for desktop apps.
  • Preferred: CI/CD, release pipelines, deployment strategies for desktop apps.
  • Preferred: ownership of features/modules; maintenance, refactoring, debt management.
