Senior Software Engineer, Windows/Desktop Applications

📋 Description

• Lead design and development of Windows desktop apps (Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML)
• Define and enforce Windows desktop best practices: architecture, performance, memory, responsive UI, cross-version compatibility (Win10/11+), maintainability
• Advance accessibility: integrate UI Automation and ensure keyboard focus, screen readers, and usable controls
• Collaborate with design/UX/QA to shape feature plans and long-term Windows roadmap
• Own full feature lifecycle from conception to release and maintenance; ensure quality and reliability
• Diagnose and fix complex bugs, perf bottlenecks, memory leaks, and rendering/compat issues; propose robust solutions

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in Windows desktop app development with Windows App SDK/WinUI, C#, XAML; ideally native Windows (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM)
• Deep understanding of Windows app architecture, including interop between .NET and native code
• Proven track record shipping production-quality desktop apps with reliability, performance, scalability, maintainability
• Strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs (UI Automation) and inclusive software
• Strong fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multithreading/async
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring, reviews, and architecture decisions
• Strong communication; articulate tradeoffs and drive consensus with cross-functional teams
• User-centric mindset; build polished, intuitive, accessible experiences
