Senior Software Engineer, Windows/Desktop Applications

📋 Description

• Lead Windows desktop app design/architecture (WinUI, Windows App SDK) with C#, XAML.
• Define Windows desktop best practices: architecture, performance, memory, responsive UI, cross-version support.
• Drive accessibility with UI Automation; ensure focus, keyboard nav, screen readers.
• Collaborate with designers, UX researchers, QA to shape Windows feature roadmap.
• Own full feature lifecycle: concept to release and maintenance.
• Diagnose and fix complex bugs, perf issues, memory leaks, rendering, compat problems.

🎯 Requirements

• Required: 3+ yrs Windows desktop dev with Windows App SDK/WinUI; C#, XAML; plus C++.
• Required: Deep understanding of Windows app architecture; .NET ↔ native interop.
• Required: Proven track record shipping production Windows apps with reliability and performance.
• Required: Experience with accessibility APIs (UI Automation) and accessible software.
• Required: Strong OOP, design patterns, data structures, memory management, async.
• Required: Experience leading technical design, mentoring, code reviews, architecture decisions.
• Required: Strong communication; articulate tradeoffs, cross-functional collaboration, drive consensus.
• Required: User-centric mindset; build polished, accessible UX.
• Preferred / Bonus: UI automation testing experience.
• Preferred / Bonus: Performance optimization for desktop apps.
