Senior Software Engineer, Windows/Desktop Applications

📋 Description

• Lead design and build of native Windows desktop apps with WinUI, Windows App SDK, C#, and XAML.
• Define and enforce best practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase.
• Drive accessibility: integrate UI Automation and ensure keyboard and screen reader support.
• Collaborate with designers, UX, QA, and stakeholders on feature planning and roadmap.
• Own full feature lifecycle from conception to release and maintenance.
• Identify and fix complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, and memory leaks.
• Strong communicator and team player who can drive consensus.
• User-centric mindset delivering polished, accessible experiences.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years Windows desktop dev with Windows App SDK/WinUI, C#, XAML; native C++ a plus.
• Deep understanding of Windows app architecture, including managed-native interop.
• Proven track record shipping production-quality desktop apps with performance and reliability.
• Strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs (UI Automation) and accessible software.
• Strong fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, memory management, threading.
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
• Strong communication; articulate tradeoffs and drive consensus.
• User-centric mindset delivering polished, accessible UX.
