Senior Software Engineer, Windows/Desktop Applications

📋 Description

• Lead design and development of Windows desktop apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML.
• Define and enforce Windows desktop development best practices: architecture, performance, memory, UI, and maintainability.
• Drive accessibility: UIAutomation APIs, focus, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader support.
• Collaborate with designers, UX researchers, QA to shape features and roadmap for the Windows platform.
• Own full feature lifecycle from conception to release and maintenance.
• Identify and resolve complex bugs, bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues; propose robust solutions.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in Windows desktop app dev using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML; native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM) a plus.
• Deep understanding of Windows app architecture, including interop between .NET and native code.
• Proven track record shipping production desktop apps with reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs (UIA) and building accessible software.
• Excellent software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading.
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring engineers, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
